The Weekender, Nov. 28-30: Can’t Believe I Ate the Whole Thing edition

Pretty sure I couldn't eat an other bite.

After a couple laps around the Thanksgiving spread, a coffee-and-dessert graze and then another go-round with the leftovers today, I feel that I am finally full. Don’t believe I could eat another bite. Maybe just a little a little frozen yogurt.

But it’s time to put the fork down. Thanksgiving weekend in the Triad is stuffed, turkey-like, with cultural events aplenty.

Be thankful you’re not in the sticks.

  • Snow Queen is a Preston Lane/Laurelyn Dossett collaboration at Triad Stage that sees a young boy disappear into the Appalachian woods to discover a frozen kingdom. Tonight is the first performance, but the show runs through Dec. 21. (GSO)
  • Watch the Wake Forest Men’s Basketball Team take on Delaware State at 7 p.m. at the Joel. (W-S)
  • Reanimator‘s got a potluck — donations accepted — and live music with the Girlfriends, among others. (W-S)
  • A/perture brings This Is Spinal Tap tonight and tomorrow at 9:30 p.m.  Bring someone who’s never seen it. (W-S)
  • At the Garage, Possum Jenkins enact what we hope will be an annual homecoming tradition, with guests Molly McGinn, Dave McCracken, Peter May and more. (W-S)
