Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools open on a two-hour delay.


• Greensboro City Council considers a proposal to allocate $1.2 million for economic development and site readiness on the east side when it meets in the council chamber at Melvin Municipal Office Building, located at 300 W. Washington St., at 5:30 p.m.

• The Department of Peace & Conflict Studies at UNCG hosts a discussion on how different faiths and beliefs affect efforts toward peace and conflict transformation in the Claxton Room at the Elliott University Center on the campus of UNCG at 5:30 p.m.

• Helen Simoneau Danse hosts a free community movement class at Gateway YWCA in Winston-Salem from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
