Today:

Triad Design Leadership’s innovation workshop runs from 9 a.m. -3:30 p.m at Wake Forest Biotech Place. More info here.

Here at the Nussbaum Center (the business incubator containing our office), there are tours of a gigantic former steel fabrication facility from 2- 4:30 p.m., 5:30- 8 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Why, you might ask? To hear your suggestions for what to do with the space! Register here.

Not that you’re going to go, but you should also probably know that the state legislative committee working to create a state drone policy is meeting for the last time today at 1 p.m. The Greensboro Police Dept. has expressed interest in using drones, reversing on an earlier statement that they had no imminent interest or plans. Certainly something worth staying aware of as it develops.

Tonight:

UNCSA presents The Pretend Gardener, “Mozart’s lush and lyrical opera,” at 7:30 p.m on the school’s campus.

Memphis Nerdcore rapper and former lawyer Adam WarRock takes the stage at Geeksboro in Greensboro at 8:30 p.m.

Several bands with hilarious names are playing at Hippo Records in Greensboro starting at 9 p.m.: Dreaded, Heron, Squall, and — my favorite — BrainXToilet.
The most interesting thing happening tonight, despite the pretty stiff competition, may be the Action on Climate Campus tour coming to NC A&T University from 7-9 p.m. Organized by the Hip Hip Caucus, the event features Raheem DeVaughn, Amanda Seales, Dee-1, and Rev. Yearwood. More info at hiphopcaucus.org/climate.
