The trustees of Winston-Salem State University meet at 9:30 a.m, but “the meeting will be held via teleconference and will go into closed session following the roll call.”

Mary’s Gourmet Diner in Winston-Salem hosts coookbook authors Andrea Weigl and Debbie Moose for free food demonstrations and discussion at 10 a.m.

The High Point Chamber State of Education luncheon is today at 11:30 a.m. at the High Point Country Club.

Geeksboro is hosting a meet up for musicians “for GSO Creative Project” tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m. The meeting is only expected to last 20-30 minutes, so it will pay to be prompt.

Stick around too: Geeksboro is screening Mean Girls tonight celebrating the 10th anniversary of the now-classic film. Tickets include a free drink as well.

Okay so get this: While Greensboro seems intent on perpetually dragging its feet on a skate park, Winston-Salem has an art show featuring pieces on skate decks and any sales benefit the Hut ramp project. I’m not entirely clear on what this video party with beer for the closing of the skate art auction will entail — so go and take pictures and tag us on Instagram or Twitter.
