Lyn Koonce & Friends are playing Tunes @ Noon at Center City Park in Greensboro today. There’s a free music act there every Wednesday.

The Greensboro Police Department is canvassing Ray Warren Homes alongside the Greensboro Housing Authority today at 3 p.m. The department is going to a different public-housing project each month from July — October.

You can’t go, but it’s definitely worth knowing about: The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education is holding a special meeting (in closed session) at 4:30 p.m. for the annual evaluation of Superintendent Beverly Emory.
