The Greensboro young professionals group SynerG hosts a Making Connections Around the Table lunch today at noon with former mayor and Bryan Foundation President Jim Melvin and Wyndham Championship Tournament Director Mark Brazil. The event is at the O. Henry Hotel and is $10 for young professionals (but $20 for the rest of you).

The Greensboro Police Department is holding an event to teach the media about use of force in the department at 2 p.m. at the Public Safety Training Facility at 1510 North Church Street. We’ll be out delivering copies of the paper.
