• Lori Goins Clark, a Republican candidate for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School Board in District 2, speaks to the conservative lunch group at the Golden Corral at Hanes Mall at noon.


• Seis Miradas por Latinoamerica is an homage to Chilean poet Pablo Neruda at the Hanes Gallery in the Scales Fine Arts Center on the campus of Wake Forest University. The program runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The event features Chilean guitarist/composer Javier Farias.

• Local film critic Budd Wilkins provides color commentary on Alfred Hitchcock’s Shadow of a Doubt at the Crown at the Carolina Theatre, located at 310 S. Greene St. in Greensboro, at 7 p.m.

• Andrew Lazare hosts the “All Brains, No Bull” trivia night at Bull’s Tavern, located at 408 W. Fourth St. in Winston-Salem, at 7 p.m.

• The Camel City Jazz Orchestra performs two free sets at Krankies Coffee, located at 211 E. Third St. in Winston-Salem, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
• The Gate City Get Down spins soul, funk, hip-hop and electronic wax at Westerwood Tavern, located at 508 Guilford Ave. in Greensboro, at 10 p.m.
