Dinner or a movie?

The two most exciting events tonight, in my expert opinion, are at different ends of the Triad and overlap somewhat in time, so take your pick.

First up: Ethnosh is hosting its next “NoshUp” event at Los Gordos Mexican Cafe tonight at 6 p.m. in Greensboro. I’ve been there before (and to the last NoshUp, too), and it’s pretty solid. The event is designed to expose people to the array of international food options in the city, and a $5 door charge grants attendees access to a bevy of samplers.

Next: Screen Club at a/perture in Winston-Salem is showing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind at 7:30 p.m. It’s part of a series too, with an interesting twist: “At each screening, the featured artist will present a limited edition of 50 signed 18” x 24” poster prints available for purchase.”

There are other things happening tonight as well, like a house show in Greensboro whose hosts would probably be none-too-pleased if I publicized it here. The weekly Coal-Ash Wednesdays protest continues as residents turn out their lights from 7-7:30 p.m. to strike small blows against Duke Energy.
