Buyers are converging in High Point today for the second day of the Fall 2014 International Home Furnishings Market. The market brings about 75,000 guests from around the world to browse showrooms displaying the wares of 2,200 exhibitors over a 13-square block area of the central business district.
The normally moribund central business district transforms into a city during market, with buyers jostling at street corners, free buses running on downtown circulator routes, and free food and entertainment for buyers. Buyers were treated to a free Billy Ocean concert last night, and will get to see the Little River Band tonight.
The market runs through Thursday.
