A little business (the government kind) and a little pleasure transpires this evening in Greensboro and Winston-Salem:
• Greensboro Councilwoman Nancy Hoffmann, who represents District 4, meets with constituents at Geeksboro, located at 2134 Lawndale Drive, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Stick around for Swine Country, a documentary about the hog industry in eastern North Carolina, which screens at 7:30.
• The Winston-Salem City Council meets to discuss capital projects at 5:30 p.m. in the public works conference room on the third floor of City Hall, located at 101 N. Main St.
• The Forsyth County Commission meets in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the Forsyth County Government Center, located at 201 N. Chestnut St. in Winston-Salem, at 6 p.m.
• Antoine Smith, COO of the Technology Center of the Piedmont Triad and Smith Gruppe LLC, facilitates a workshop on business creation and technology at the Central Library, located at 219 N. Church St. in Greensboro, from 6 to 8 p.m.
