Gov. Pat McCrory is expected to appear at the old Pickett Cotton Mill in High Point at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The smart money says he’ll say something about historic preservation tax credits, which Rep. Julia Howard (R-Davie) has vowed to eliminate.

“Tomorrow at 2 p.m, Governor McCrory will make a major economic policy announcement with regards to historic preservation, and I am told it is a favorable announcement. He chose High Point’s Pickett Cotton Mill because it is being adapted for use as a furniture factory using the preservation tax credits.
“I have been asked to wrangle up some preservation friendly folks to be there… so now you know!”
