It looks like the opening of a second bottle shop in downtown Greensboro is imminent.
Remember the Greensboro Downtown Farm Market? No, not the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market, but the short-lived space at 505 N. Greene St. on the north end of downtown. Well, according to a sign outside and beerthirtygso.com, the building will house Beer Thirty, a craft beer bottle shop, as soon as this month.
The bottle shop will offer beer and cider from around the world but focus on North Carolina products, and will include beer and wine on tap, mix-and-match six-packs and will host food trucks in the lot in front, according to the website.
Beer Thirty will be about a block from the forthcoming Joymongers Brewing, which is across the street from Preyer Brewing. Beer Co., the other downtown bottle shop, is towards the south side of the center city. While Deep Roots Market nearby the Beer Thirty site does sell beer to-go, Beer Co. is the only true existing bottle-shop downtown.
