- Athens (Georgia)-based band New Madrid plays at the Garage in Winston-Salem tonight at 9 p.m., and according to Triad City Beat editor Jordan Green, who listened to the band, they’re pretty damn good. It costs $5.
- Jake’s Billiards in Greensboro invites you to a Big Boss Brewing (from Raleigh) cask ale night. Brewery reps will be on hand to talk about the beer, too, starting at 5 p.m. Followed by trivia.
- Greensboro College hosts a reception for UNC School of the Arts professor Will Taylor’s exhibition, “when your disaster falls …,” from 5 – 7 p.m. Taylor’s paintings and prints will be shown in the Ann Rudd Galyon Gallery in the school’s Cowan Humanities Building. His work will be on display until March 31.
- Triad Stage (which covers Greensboro and Winston-Salem) is having its season announcement tonight at 7 p.m. at its downtown Greensboro location.
