Greensboro’s minor league baseball team is expanding its brand, though certainly not in one of the ways you’d guess.
The Greensboro Grasshoppers are announcing this morning that they’re putting a food truck on the road. It will sell everything from Italian sausages and hot dogs to funnel cake fries drizzled with chocolate. One dog, the Connie Mack Attack, comes wrapped in bacon and features mac & cheese and pulled pork.
Yeah, you read that right.
The food truck will premiere at this weekend’s National Folk Festival in downtown Greensboro, near the Main Stage. After that, you can find it at other events throughout the region, according to a press release, as the organization seeks to expand its brand and presence in the area.
I honestly never expected to see something like this happen. But I ain’t mad though, especially after reading over the menu. (The prices are a little high, considering the truck won’t be inside the ballpark.)
