The staff at Triad City Beat welcomes Nicole Zelniker as our fourth investigative reporting intern.

Zelniker will be working with Senior Editor Jordan Green on an investigative project over the summer.

A rising junior at Guilford College, Zelniker is majoring in English with minors in environmental studies and communications. In addition to interning with Triad City Beat, Zelniker is creating a list of food resources for clients in Greensboro and High Point over the summer.

Zelniker comes from Westchester County outside of New York City. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in journalism.

“Investigative journalism is a great way to get at issues people need to know about, not just reviewing the latest movie or restaurant,” she said. “I think this is important stuff, and it’s doing it the way I love to do it.”
