Crowds gathered this morning along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Greensboro to witness the annual parade that honors King. The parade boasted local school marching bands, church buses, and even an appearance by Ronald McDonald. People riding along in fancy cars threw candy out their windows to children. The beats form the drums and R&B music blaring out of speakers promoted a party atmosphere. The parade was an awe-inspiring spectacle to watch, as dancers in flashy costumes strutted here and there among little girls selling cookies for $4 a box.
