Everyone seems to be talking about beer in Greensboro lately (and with good reason), but things have just reached a new level.

The Guilford County Republican Party has announced that this Saturday, it will host its first ever “Right Wing Brew Fest.”

Attendees — whose $20 entry fee will go towards supporting the county party — will get to sample local beers and wings, and possibly watch Republican opponents Phil Berger Jr. and Greensboro’s Mark Walker compete in a wing-eating contest. [The action is described as a “wing-off,” which we’re hoping is an eating competition. Updates as details emerge.]

The event, which begins at 11 a.m., will be held at the party’s headquarters on West Market Street in Greensboro and will include activities for kids. Details here.
