Winston-Salem artist Patrick Harris decided to go big and go home.

At a Triad City Beat Box painting party over the weekend, Harris picked our biggest distribution box — a double wide former Daily Tarheel bin that can hold hundreds of papers — as his canvas. And then he took it home.

Since then, Harris — a founding member of Delurk Gallery in Winston-Salem — has made some pretty incredible progress (above). This baby will be stationed outside Delurk when it’s finished, where you can snag the first issue of Triad City Beat on Wednesday (err, tomorrow)!
