The morning after staging a die-in at the Christmas tree lighting in downtown Greensboro, activists joined a contingent from the International Civil Rights Center & Museum at the Christmas parade to keep attention on the issue of police violence.

See photos of the die-in and read more about the movement here.

The entire faculty and staff of Bennett College joined students at a die-in protest for the same issues on Thursday. See coverage here. Protesters had also engaged in civil disobedience on Tuesday night, blocking major streets downtown. Last week, activists took over South Elm Street, marching through downtown across the entire road after the grand jury decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Mo. This morning, despite cold and frequent rain, a committed group still turned out. See more photos below, and look for coverage of the actions over the last week in the next print issue of Triad City Beat.
