City of Greensboro seeking applications for vacant at-large seat
Starting on Jan. 2, the city of Greensboro will be accepting applications to fill Mayor Pro Tempore Yvonne Johnson’s vacant at-large seat on city council
Republican Appeals Court Judge Jefferson Griffin asked the state Supreme Court on Wednesday to do what the state Board of Elections would not — throw out tens of thousands of votes on the belief that canceling them will elevate him to a seat on the same tribunal.
Since 2021, the Triad Abolition Project, a Triad-based prison abolitionist organization, has been hosting the book drive which sends free books to imprisoned people. This year, the organization is once again collaborating with Prison Books Collective (PBC), a Durham-based non-profit.
